Sorry, Mom, Vacations Should be Fun
February 27, 2009 6:34 am TravelI grew up watching my mother, a dedicated Type A personality, work herself into an exhausted heap trying to arrange our yearly family vacations. That’s not my style. I firmly believe that the point of a vacation is fun; so I turn all of the responsibilities over to my travel agent. Although I do have to pack suitcases, my local travel experts do pretty much everything else. They provide tickets, an itinerary, and the guarantee of a smooth trip. They are wonderful about choosing outstanding accommodations for me as well as recommending local attractions and restaurants. With all respect to Mom, I think I’ll continue letting someone else plan the vacations.
