The internet is a very useful tool and allows people to connect with each other in a way that I never thought would be possible.  If you are trying to find cheap thailand hotels you can bring up all your options in a matter of minutes.  And in the same breath you can book a flight, and add a rental car to top off the whole trip.  The technology to do this has existed for a while now, but just recently has it all worked together so smoothly, allowing the individual traveler to do everything at a one stop shop online.
