Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox Live products for the Xbox 360 all ranked in the top 10 at Amazon.com on Wed. following a steep price cut that ignited sales.

According to Xbox 360 Blog, three Xbox Live product SKUs ranked in the top 10 on Wed., including the Xbox Live 1600 Points card at No. 2, the Xbox Live 4000 Points card at No. 8, and the Xbox Live Gold subscription at No. 10.

Amazon last week price cut the Xbox Live 12-month Gold subscription for $38.99, a 22 percent discount from a $49.99 MSRP.

Additionally, it discounted the Xbox Live 4000 Points SKU to $39.97, down from $49.99, and the Xbox Live 1600 Points SKU to $15.97, down from $19.99.

Microsoft this week said that the Xbox Live service will incur a 24-hour downtime this weekend as the company preps a new fall dashboard overhaul.

The Xbox 360 rebounded in Aug. U.S. sales on strong demand for EA Inc.’s Madden NFL 09 after a multi-month session of sales that notched below Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3.

The Xbox 360 sold 195,200 units in Aug. to rank at No. 4 in overall hardware sales, according to NPD Group Inc.
