The Mysterious Blue Screen

There is something that happens to my computer from time to time that is a complete mystery to me.  I can be busily typing away, surfing the Internet, or downloading my favorite songs when suddenly my computer will momentarily freeze, followed by messages I don’t understand on the windows blue screen.  Of what causes the windows blue screen I’m not certain.  But what I do know is that everything that I have not saved to that point is lost, and I eventually have to reboot my computer.  The windows blue screen is a mystery to me, and one that I have yet to completely comprehend.
