All this around the parks?

I heard of the hotel, and the pub and the restaurants. And they say Buckingham Palace in next to the park. And they also said that the parks are adjacent to each other. I wonder how big they are anyway. Since st james park pubs and all this surrounds them, they must be huge. It sounds small and close, but I bet it is a huge area. I don’t think a palace can be a close neighbor of any park unless it is a very large on. Maybe I better find some kind of diagram because this has me thinking all kinds of odd things about the area.
