We Can Truly Learn to Know a Person When We Listen to the Eulogy Given

Sometimes I think that we would be disappointed if we knew. But there are times when a peek into that private place is truly inspiring. Last month I attended the funeral of such a well-recognized woman of our city. But it was in the eulogy speech given by her daughter that I really learned why she would be so greatly missed. Her daughter talked about a mother who insisted on making breakfast for her children and being there when they arrived home after school each day because she wanted to make sure they were fine. I hope someday that my children will have such good memories of me.
