It has always been recommended to do a feasibility study when you want to embark on a journey and invest on a business.  So you make a study on it to see how feasible it is to the current market.  That is why there are always groups doing a Biodiesel Feasibility Study.  They want to know if there really is a future in biodiesel and to what extent they can use it for.  These studies can also determine user’s acceptance of the product.  Management students have feasibility studies as part of their curriculum.
