Where we found an expert on Bulgaria

My wife and I were planning to return to Bulgaria for the holidays this past year. It has been a number of years since we had visited their — and we wanted to return to see a number of relatives. We were not sure, since it had been over 20 years since we had visited last, the best way to get around — so we decided to hire an expert on Bulgaria. For a while we were not sure where we could find one, then my wife suggested that I called the local administrative offices of Catholic charities — sure enough, we were able to locate a couple of Bulgarian families who had relatives still living over there — and one of them served as a great host and tour guide for our visit.
