Where do You Go to Get Good Dog Training Advice?

If this is the first time having a dog then you might be overwhelmed with the amount of dog training advice that is thrown at you.  Everyone seems to know what is the best way to train your dog or puppy.  This includes people that have never had a dog or even an animal of any description, they all seem to have watched at least one program and television and so have automatically become experts.  The truth is that a lot of the advice you get is good, but it is sometimes tainted with advice that is ill advised also. One of the best things you can do is to either get a book by a recognised expert in the dog training field or to attend dog training classes with your dog.
