Etching Glass as a Hobby

My mother in law has an interesting and unique hobby. She creates etched glass designs and panels and gives them to family and friends for gifts. Some of her work is truly amazing. She says the process is simple and she read a simple guide on how to get started and never stopped. When my son was born she created an etched mirror that had a blessing on it which she feels protects him while he sleeps. She has given me a mirror with unicorns etched all over it and it is truly one of my most treasured possessions. I intend to learn how to etch glass too.
