Is a Petrol Hedge Trimmer Really That Much Better?

I have been using a cordless hedge trimmer for quite a while now and I’m just not very happy with the power available from this thing anymore. It always gets stuck on the branches, and even though I’ve always kept the blades sharp it just does not seem like something that will be a good fit for me in the long term. I’m going to probably want to get a petrol hedge trimmer, since they have a lot more power and I think it’d be a lot better for my particular situation. The shrubs next to my house are very thick, so I’ll need some good horsepower to chop through them and keep them in line.
