Panic Attacks and Medication, Not a Cure, but it Helps
January 26, 2008 8:12 pm HealthI have suffered from panic attacks for the past year, for which I have been taking Librium for over 6 months now. It is a slow acting Benzopine in pill form and takes anything from 2 to 4 hours to really start to work. It is not a true panic attack medication but as a treatment for mild panic attacks does do a very good job of keeping them at bay. For best results it should be taken over a medium period of time as it takes a week or so for the dose intake to work effectively into your bloodstream. So don’t be too despondent if you don’t see an immediate panic attack cure. After a couple of weeks the dose levels will be stable and the drug should start to help ease the attacks
