Female and male laser hair removal is becoming more popular. It can be expensive to have this treatment in a salon and it usually has to be repeated several times. However, you can now buy kits to use at home. They work in the same way as salons in that they destroy the hair follicle so that it is not capable of growing a hair. This only works if the hair is in a growing stage – hairs can be a resting stage and at this point the treatment will not work. This applies to salon treatment as well which is why it needs to be repeated. The home kits only tend to do 20 hairs at a time so it would take quite a long time to remove a large area of hair.
