Dyslexia and improving memory
September 29, 2008 11:12 am HealthWhen dealing with the brain in dealing with improving memory; we turn to look at dyslexia which is seen to be a specific learning difficulty in the acquisition of reading, writing and spelling, and is neurological in origin. That is to say we are dealing with the actual neurons and specific areas of the brain that perform specific functions. The term dyslexia is seen to have been derived from the Greek word “dys” which means difficulty, and “lexis” which has the meaning words. Dyslexia is a particular type of learning disorder that affects an estimated three to five percentage of children in society. One thing is interesting in that we see that aduly dyslexia has been sen to be a condition that is identified in more boys than girls.
