More Breast Milk
October 5, 2010 2:32 am Health and FitnessWhen I gave birth to my daughter, I really needed to make more breast milk. I could tell that she wasn’t satisfied until she had been supplemented with formula. My doctor recommended pumping more often and attempting to feed more frequently. While I made a little more after doing this, it still wasn’t enough. A friend of mine told me about fenugreek, which is an herb that many women use to make more breast milk. It can be taken as a capsule, usually three times a day, or can be taken in tea. The taste is rather pleasant and it’s reminiscent of maple syrup. After taking fenugreek for a few weeks, I noticed a definite improvement in breast milk production. I recommend it to any woman who isn’t making enough to feed their babies solely on breast milk.
