Gardening tips

The weather is so beautiful outside right now. I need to go out there and try planting some new shrubs and flowers. I’ll have to get my mother to give me some gardening tips though. I’m more a cook and don’t know much about gardening, but she is in her garden every day and she has some beautiful roses and flowers. One tip she told me was to get some good gardening tools. The strong, metal sturdy kind, so I won’t have to worry about them breaking on me. Also one of those little gardening stools. She has back problems and she said this really helps since you tend to bend over so much while gardening.

The cutest little puppy

I brought my kids to the pet store the other day, and we were looking at all the puppies when we noticed the cutest little thing. I had never seen a dog like it before, so I asked the owner what kind of dog it was, and she said it was a labradoodle puppy. Well, I then quickly figured out that it was a mix between a labrador retriever and a poodle. I thought it was basically a mutt, but she said it’s actually registered with the Australian Labradoodle Association and the International Labradoodle Association. They both uphold the breeding standards of the breed. She said they make the most wonderful family pets, so now we’re considering buying one.

The Boise Art Museum in Idaho is a wonderful place to view a variety of artwork in intriguing exhibitions. The Permanent Collection of artwork at the Museum includes 20th century American Art as well as non-western artwork and some European works, as well. Items from the Boise Art Museum’s Permanent Collection are displayed in interesting themed exhibits, and traveling exhibitions are also featured at the Museum. Elegance of Form is an ongoing exhibit that features artwork from the Museum’s Permanent Collection. Artwork in this exhibit was chosen to illustrate, compare and contrast line, shape, form, texture and color – the formal elements of art. There is currently an exhibit featuring artwork by an Idaho artist on display at the Boise Art Museum. Gerri Sayler’s Ad Infinitum work featuring 900 filigreed strands of hot glue is presently being installed on site. My Birthday Gift

I received a very thoughtful gift from my husband for my most recent birthday. It was certainly something that I was not expecting. My husband took one of my favorite pictures of our children together when they were babies and toddlers. He submitted the photo to a company that does canvas photo printing as part of its business. The photo was turned into a beautiful work of art. The colors are crisp and brilliant. The quality is high. I can tell that this is a product that will last for years and years. It is something that I can hang on our living room wall for years to come. What a great way to remember wonderful family moments from the past.
