Truck hits stopped vehicle causing permanent injury

In this reported motor vehicle accident case, a tractor trailer truck slammed into another vehicle.  The tractor trailer was going between 45 – 50 mph and struck the other vehicle with such force that the other vehicle was hurled into a utility pole and rolled over.  The victim had been stopped, with his right turn signal on, in front of a driveway waiting for another vehicle to exit the driveway so that he could turn in and make a delivery for his company.  The victim suffered spinal cord fractures resulting in quadriplegia.  He requires full time care.  The law firm that handled this case reported that the case settled for $3,000,000.
