Sister Compete to See Who Can Reduce Their Electric Bill the Most
August 31, 2010 9:45 pm BusinessMy sister and I had a small competition to see who could get their electrical bill the lowest. We have the same service provider and the same Texas Electric Rates. I started to unplug any appliance or electronic piece of equipment that I was not using. I also turned up my air conditioning unit and only ran my washer and dryer late at night. My sister started by getting her kids to turn out the lights when they left a room and used her outdoor grill more than her oven. We both did pretty well although at the end of the month, my bill was $4.00 less than hers.
