if you want to blog effectively, watch your blog length

If you are trying to work efficiently and productively when you are creating and posting blog entries, you should keep an eye on the overall length of your blogs.  Keeping your blog length to a reasonable size will enable you to write and post more blog entries per hour — and if you are trying to gain the edge in search engine placement, all other things being equal the more blog entries you create with links, the better.  Many people will create their blog entries using a word processing application that automatically allows them to check the word count of each posting.
