Vauxhalll Astra Cars

Who doesn’t have fond memories of their first car?  Mine certainly wasn’t my dream car, but it worked.  It wasn’t quite a clunker, but let’s face it: a ten year old Vauxhall Astra isn’t exactly the car that teenagers dream about driving when they are finally old enough!  However, I am glad that I had the experience of driving it.  It made me appreciate all my subsequent cars a lot more, and it made me realize that the privilege of driving, and owning, a car isn’t something that is automatic.  I’m thankful for my parents’ wisdom in having me drive that car first!
