The importance of gas mileage ratings

For most people the most important thing about a car is the way it looks, and they usually concentrate on the design and don’t care too much about the running costs until they realize that they should have paid more attention to gas mileage ratings when they bought the car. I like a well designed car as much as anyone, but I am also well aware that gas prices are now higher than they have ever been, and there is only one way to make sure that you can save money on your gas bills and that is to make sure you get a car with a really good gas mileage rating. Before I bought my last car I spent several months researching several models in order to make sure that I got the best deal, and I’m glad I did, because I am seeing far more money in my bank account at the end of the month.
