Should the government be promoting water cars?

Recently, I learned that water-powered cars exist. I used to think it was just “comic book” thinking, kind of like The Jetsons! However, it seems there are cars that use water for gas. They are called hybrids. Yes, I have seen the commercials on television but have really paid little or no attention to them. I figured it was some type of advertising gimmick. Maybe the government should promote the use of hybrid cars more instead of just focusing on getting oil prices lowered, which will probably never happen. Not only would that help our economy, but it would also help our environment due to the lower fuel emissions and saving the oil reserves.
